Mineral Resource Assessment
Building the data foundation for future resource estimates across Eco Minerals' Pacific exploration areas.
The Opportunity
Eco Minerals has requested exploration rights covering approximately 150,000 square kilometers of seabed in the Central Pacific's Clarion-Clipperton Zone and in the Western Pacific near Guam. These regions are widely recognized for polymetallic nodules containing nickel, copper, cobalt and manganese.
In March 2026, NOAA deemed the Company's exploration license application to be in full compliance under the Deep Seabed Hard Mineral Resources Act, preserving its priority of right over the requested areas.
The Assessment
Understanding what lies on the seafloor comes before any recovery. Eco Minerals is planning an exploration survey and sampling program, along with longer-term evaluation work toward future resource estimates, technical reports and feasibility studies.
The program draws on Deep Sea Vision's HUGIN autonomous underwater vehicles, including the 6,000-meter-rated HUGIN Superior acquired in 2026, to collect high-resolution bathymetry, sonar and seafloor imagery, paired with box-core sampling to characterize nodule distribution and composition.
As we continue to advance our critical minerals strategy, access to high-quality, high-resolution subsea data will be increasingly important.
